It is a dual narrative told by Nick, an affluent sophomore who is also a handsome athlete and Caitlin, the beautiful classmate who is in love with Nick - until he hits her. She files charges and Nick is assigned to write a journal, attend anger management classes and stay away from Caitlin. This honest portrayal of relationship abuse is not an easy read, but it's an important one.
