Septimus Heap is the seventh son of a seventh son, but his mother was told he died at birth. His father found an abandoned infant girl and brought her home to be raised by the family. Fast-forward ten years and the reader learns more about the mysterious beginnings of these two. The pace is fast and the world building is superb in this and each book of the series. Great for fans of fantasy featuring wizards.
