Publisher synopsis: This classic about a ten-year-old boy growing up in the Ozark mountains with his inseparable pair of coonhounds — will warm the hearts of young and old alike. Winner of the Great Stone Face Award.
This is one of my favorites and I'm donating it to my school library because our edition is an old, tatty, unattractive hard cover paperback with yellowed pages. I bought one for my home library as well.

That's what's new with me. What's new with you?
The only audiobooks I've read are the Harry Potter books read by Stephen Fry! I'm familiar with the authors but haven't read these books. Hope you have reading fun this week and thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteThere are HP books read by Stephen Fry?!? I love him! The ones I listened to were narrated by Jim Dale, whom I also adore. I am a long-time (30+ years) audiobook fan. I have one going in my car and have a disc man(!) so I can listen while walking my dogs, raking leaves, mowing the lawn, etc.
DeleteI really don't like audio books. I forget to listen to them after a minute or so. But I want to read Heartless soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of classic books you got! I also got Heartless just recently!
